Your images

Screenshots you open in Matte are never transmitted anywhere. They are read by your browser, composed onto a canvas on your own device, and written back to your own disk when you export. There is no upload endpoint and no storage in this product. We cannot see your images, recover them, or hand them to anyone, because they never reach us.

What is stored on your device

Your editor settings, your brand colour and, if you unlock a paid plan, your licence key are kept in your browser’s local storage so the app remembers them. Clearing your browser data removes all of it. No cookies are set, by us or by anything we load.

Measurement

Two measurements run here, both from Vercel, our hosting provider, acting on our behalf. Speed Insights reports how quickly pages load. Web Analytics counts page views and records which site a visit came from, a country, and a broad device type.

Neither sets a cookie or writes anything to your device, neither builds a profile of you, and neither follows you to other sites. Repeat visits are not linked into a history. Above all, neither can see the images you work on — that never leaves the canvas in your browser. Any tracker blocker stops both requests, and the tool works exactly the same without them.

What the server sees

Two things, both unavoidable for any website. First, our host records ordinary web server logs — IP address, timestamp, page requested — for delivery and abuse prevention. Second, when you unlock or revalidate a paid plan, your licence key is sent to Lemon Squeezy so it can confirm the key is active. No image data is part of that request.

Your rights

Because we hold almost nothing, most requests are quick to answer. Write to paroczaiabbas@gmail.com (or @Techbas0 on X) to ask what is on file, to have your order record deleted, or to opt out of the sale or sharing of personal information — which we do not do in any case.
